Patricia A. Graves


Patricia McCrann Graves passed away at home in Highland Heights, with her family and friends at her side. She was in the first class to graduate from Elyria Catholic High School. She graduated from Saint Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing. Most of her working career was spent working at Saint Vincent Charity Hospital. Patricia was proceeded in death by her parents Francis and Tina (Zicarelli) McCrann, brothers Robert McCrann of New York and Richard McCrann and her niece, Lisa McCrann Anderson of New York. She is survived by her husband John, sisters in law Kathy, Alice and Sandra McCrann and brother James McCrann and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday September 14, 2017 at St. Paschal Baylon Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment All Souls Cemetery. JOSEPH R. SBROCCO, age 90 of Highland Heights died peacefully with family on July 29, 2017. Joe was born September 3, 1926 in Matrice, Italy. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Martin) (deceased) and Marjorie (Margroff) (deceased); loving father of Lynn Murray (Rich), John (Barb), Joe (Kathy), Rick (Armando) and Michael (Patricia); devoted grandfather of Bob (Michelle), Kristen, Jimmy (Carrie), Christopher, Ray, Dana (Mike), Gabby (Anthony), Katie (Tony), Tayler and Nicky; cherished great grandfather of six; dear son of John and Maria (Federico)(both deceased) and brother of Frank (Helen) (both deceased), Antoinette Perry (Anthony, deceased), Connie Russo (Danny) (both deceased), Jane DeSanto (Tony, deceased). Russell T. Jacobson


RUSSELL T. JACOBSON SR., fan of the New York Yankees, University of Michigan football, and an extra-dry martini, passed away on June 30, 2017. Born in Ludington, MI, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Renville. After the war, he obtained his CPA license at Northwestern University and then met his first wife Juliana (Anthony) and had 2 sons. After her death, he remarried and with Joan (deceased) (Andrews) had 4 daughters and 1 more son. He lived his 90+ years to the fullest, marked by his commitment to his community, career, and family: City of Charlevoix (MI) Shuffleboard Champion, St. Louis Parish Golf League Champion and 50/50 Raffle Winner, 40+ years as St. Louis church usher, 40+ years with Legion of Mary, 40+ years at TRW, 10+ years at H&R Block, 58+ years as a father, 28+ years as a grandfather. Dearest father of Russell Jr. (Theresa), Christopher (deceased), Mary Joan Bostelman (Mark), Laura Reckamp (Mike), Susan Agresta (A.J.), Karen Laurienzo (Tom), and Michael (Emelyn); devoted grandfather of Marina, Melanie, and Maxwell Bostelman; Luke, Kevin, Ella, and Callum Reckamp; Jaime Neufer; Anthony, Dominic, and Matthew Laurienzo; and Henry and Eleanor Jacobson; Proud son of Theodore and Blanche Jacobson, dear brother of Eunice Tiedeman and Eleanore Jacobson (both deceased); uncle, great-uncle and friend to many. Evelyn Pipoly


EVELYN PIPOLY (Blatnik, Trivisonno) passed away on June 14, 2017. She was born August 30, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Frances (Korencic) Blatnik. Her siblings Albin (Bea), Vida (Chuck), Justine (Barney) and Harry predeceased her as did her beloved husband, Michael Pipoly. She is survived by her daughter Sharon and son in law John Roberts, her brother Robert (Marlena), sister in law Mary Blatnik, brother in law Joseph Trivisonno (Sally) and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a proud graduate of Collinwood High School and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She was involved in and served as an officer in numerous Slovenian and Italian organizations, including SNPJ, KSKJ, Slovenian Women’s Union, Holmes Avenue Pensioners, St. Mary’s Seniors, the Waterloo and Holmes Avenue Slovenian Homes, the Federation of Slovenian Homes, the latter of which she was named Woman of the Year in 1998, and finally, the Italian Sons and Daughters of America. Evelyn was a serious pinochle player, a life-long fan of the Cleveland Indians and an avid supporter of the Mentor High School football program coached by her nephew, Steve. Following a family tradition, Evelyn donated her remains to the CWRU School of Medicine. A memorial mass will be celebrated Friday August 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Walter J. Kesko


WALTER J. KESKO, 93, a resident of Highland Heights, passed away peacefully on June 22nd at Hillcrest Hospital. Wally was born on March 23, 1924 to John and Sophie Kesko. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sally. Walter is survived by his brother-in-law Ray Niksa and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was a tool and die maker and worked at several companies, including White Motors and Curtis Industries.
